(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Dec 28, 2009) In a week 16 Superior League 3 showdown, *Superior Cats III beat a strong *Blue & Gold III team by a score of 93.65 to 79.40, extending the winning streak for *Superior Cats III to 3 games.
*Superior Cats III were led to their 14.25 point victory by a 24.65 point effort from Kurt Warner, who beat the St. Louis Rams defense for 313 passing yards and 2 passing TDs in addition to 10 rushing yards. With this performance, Warner was the number 5 ranked quarterback for week 16. They also got help from a 18.10 point effort from Brent Celek, who beat the Denver Broncos defense for 121 receiving yards and 1 receiving TD. "We managed to eke out a win," *Superior Cats III coach Bill Beaulac said. *Blue & Gold III were helped out in a losing cause by a 21.20 point effort from Philip Rivers, who got by the Tennessee Titans defense for 264 passing yards and 2 passing TDs. They also got help from a 17.00 point effort from the Arizona Cardinals Defensive Team. "There were too many defensive lapses," *Blue & Gold III coach Brian Diller said. Compounding the issue, *Blue & Gold III could have scored 101.50 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Brian Diller left key players like Darren Sproles and his corresponding 24.10 points on the bench. This brings the record for *Superior Cats III to 9-6, and drops *Blue & Gold III to a record of 3-13. | ||
